**CLOSED** University of Chicago Offers $20/hr to Simulate Patient Calls

by member 107

The University of Chicago Survey Lab is hiring callers for an ongoing research study. The research is being conducted in our call-center at 6030 South Ellis Avenue.

We will be using a simulated patient (or "secret shopper") approach to measure access to health and dental care in the US. Callers will play the role of potential patients from a variety of backgrounds, seeking appointments for a variety of reasons.

Because this research will be conducted over the phone, it is important that applicants have an excellent telephone manner and be able to manage positive, professional interactions with a wide cross-section of the general public. Ideal candidates will have previous interviewing, acting or voice experience in order to take on the challenges of following a dynamic script while sounding natural and not breaking character.

Callers must be able to work 20-30 hours a week during weekdays from February until June, with the possibility of extending the work through the summer. Some shifts may take place on Saturdays. All training is provided on site. Callers can expect to make $20 an hour.
